How to Spot Air Filter Problems

There are signs that tell you when your air filter is going bad. One is when your Check Engine light turns on. Another is brittle, visibly dirty, or congested filter fibers. For engine filters, listen for weird engine noises and look for too much exhaust smoke. For cabin filters, smell for unpleasant odors during your drive.
